Baseball Fest at Lincoln Park, Los Angeles
August 11, 2002

Since 1992, Manny Mota has provided the youth of Los Angeles with first hand experience on how to play the game of baseball. Many athletes attend these events because they believe in the foundation's mission, to help our youth become better persons and inspire them to a brighter future.

The Manny Mota International Foundation introduced the Manny Mota Baseball Fests in the year 2002. The first one was held May 18th at Live Oak Park in Temple City and the second one was held August 11th in Lincoln Park in Metropolitan Los Angeles. Over 4,000 people attended and more than 300 volunteers participated in these events. Coaches, current and former players from the Los Angeles Dodgers participated totaling more than 40 athletes and personalities, including radio and television. The media coverage was extremely successful, prior, during and after both events. Read more and see pictures
